A charming beach house in the coastal town of Emu Bay, The Whitehouse accommodates up to 8 guests in 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It offers 2 spacious living areas, a fully equipped kitchen, laundry and a seaside deck with sweeping views of the bay. Relax in the tropical-style garden with its tranquil fish pond, enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi and start your mornings with coffee from the in-house machine. There’s ample parking for two cars and a boat, making it the perfect home away from home.
Your stay includes all bed linen, pillows and bath towels. You’ll also find a small supply of tea, coffee, sugar and other basic kitchen essentials. The kitchen features a Nespresso-compatible pod machine, and the home is equipped with reverse-cycle air conditioning for year-round comfort. In cooler months, extra blankets and electric blankets on the king and queen beds keep you cozy. A gas BBQ on the deck makes outdoor entertaining easy and enjoyable.
You will have access to the entire property during your stay. The yard is secure for younger children.

The pristine sands and deep blue waters of Emu Bay are within easy walking distance from The Whitehouse. The beach is accessible by car on the hard sand and is a safe spot for swimming, beach fishing, water sports or a relaxing walk. Enjoy sunrise or sunset and the dolphins frolicking along the shoreline. Koalas often frequent the gum trees in the neighbourhood.
Emu Bay Lavender Farm is a short 3km drive from Emu Bay. They offer a lovely breakfast, brunch or lunch and are open daily 9-4 all year round.
Public transport is very limited on Kangaroo Island and a self drive option is recommended.
You can travel to Kangaroo Island by sea or by air. You can hire a vehicle in Adelaide or bring your own on the ferry with Sealink. KI Connect is a passenger only ferry which also services Kangaroo Island. You can choose to travel by bus to connect with the ferry and hire a vehicle in Penneshaw where the ferry arrives.

For mobile coverage on Kangaroo Island, Telstra offers the most reliable service, while Optus & Vodafone can be patchy. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available at the property.
