The kitchen features a Nespresso-compatible pod machine, and the home is equipped with reverse-cycle air conditioning for year-round comfort. In cooler months, extra blankets and electric blankets on the king and queen beds keep you cozy. A gas BBQ on the deck makes outdoor entertaining easy and enjoyable.

The pristine sands and deep blue waters of Emu Bay are within easy walking distance from The Whitehouse. The beach is accessible by car on the hard sand and is a safe spot for swimming, beach fishing, water sports or a relaxing walk. Enjoy sunrise or sunset and the dolphins frolicking along the shoreline. Koalas often frequent the gum trees in the neighbourhood.
Emu Bay Lavender Farm is a short 3km drive from Emu Bay. They offer a lovely breakfast, brunch or lunch and are open daily 9-4 all year round.

Public transport is very limited on Kangaroo Island and a self drive option is recommended.

You can travel to Kangaroo Island by sea or by air. You can hire a vehicle in Adelaide or bring your own on the ferry with Sealink. KI Connect is a passenger only ferry which also services Kangaroo Island. You can choose to travel by bus to connect with the ferry and hire a vehicle in Penneshaw where the ferry arrives.
